One of my very first flash projects,not the best animation I've ever done but was crucial to me for learning flash.Took maybe 2 weeks but I could probably do it much better in one day if I were to do it again and that's what's important,You have to make crap to learn how to not make crap,some great words there by ..... erm Gandhi or something

@00:17I know what you mean man. Although I am still slow in flash. Been a while since I used it and basically forgot everything. Another lesson to learn.

@00:17once you get a grasp on it its not so bad,I've been using it as a crutch to clean my lines lately but it's awkward to get your lines right in it because of the way it smooths to much or if you turn smooth off makes it too jagged,makes me wish for a cintiq. You should give it another go as it is getting more popular,The tutors have been pushing for it more and more,I'm the only one this year doing a movie traditionally drawn and not in flash

@00:17Really? Interesting.
Thats the thing, 2D traditional is dead. I soooooo hate the time I studied. It was a transition era of animation where 2D was dying, CG was beginning to become an art form, and 2D digital was starting to become bigger in TV. We couldnt have been less prepared for employment.
Its good to hear they are focused on teaching it now. Sucks for me, means more competition for work! lol

So you finishing your 3rd year now man?

@00:17yea don't know if I'll do masters yet,I don't personally think I'm ready for industry yet so I'm lulling things over.I have some information on 2d animation jobs going in Ireland right now.Disney are producing ninth grade ninja and are hiring over 50 animators in varies role.They said in a newspaper article that there hiring people graduating straight out of dun leary and to be honest from what I've seen of Dun Leary you and most glam graduates blow them away,I can send you on the article if your interested

@00:17yeh man, sure, i'll take a look.
The one series we made was made with an irish company actually who are also recruiting, Kavaleer I think they are called. The problem with animation work is having to move to get a job, and I dunno, I am not sure if I fancy moving so far away.
